Good to know

Fit each image, or fit the paper

Fit makes every page the exact size of its image, so nothing is cropped or padded, which suits a document that will only be read on screen. A4 and Letter centre each image inside the margin, keeping its proportions.

JPEG and PNG go in untouched

Images already in those formats are embedded as they are, with no decode and re-encode. Other formats are converted first, choosing PNG when the image has transparency so it does not gain a black background.
