Bursting a fifty page document means fifty files, and a browser blocks a rapid sequence of downloads after the first few. They arrive as one archive instead.
Page ranges accept what you would expect
Single pages, ranges, and open ends. 1-3, 7, 9- means the first three pages, the seventh, and everything from the ninth to the end. Anything ambiguous is rejected with a sentence rather than a stack trace.
